ADCAR will store training events for all personnel and keep track of their status. Any additions, deletions, or changes to the training events list, including the order of the events, will be reflected in all personnel records both active and archived. Training events that are not required for a group can be deselected for that group here. Records that are not required for an individual can be designated as "N/A" in that individual's record in the Personnel window.

Adding a Training Event

Select Configuration > Required Training from the Personnel Window command bar.
Append a blank record by clicking the New Record button in the lower left corner of the window. A blank record will be inserted into the list.
Fill in the desired fields for the new record.
To save the new record, click the Post Edit button or click the Cancel Changes button to cancel adding the record. If you are entering several records at once, you can automatically save the record and append a new one in one step by clicking the New Record button instead.
When you close the window you will receive the following warning:

Click "OK".

Showing or Hiding a Training Event

While the Required Training list is used globally by all personnel, the display of an individual training event in the Personnel window can be suppressed for groups that do not require the event. To hide a training event for a group, uncheck the "Selected" box for that group.

Making a Training Event Calculating or Non Calculating

Training events can be designated as calculating or non calculating. This will make no difference in the way the event is tracked by ADCAR. Calculating events simply help to prevent errors by automatically calculating a future date based upon the event date entered and the desired interval. To make an event calculating simply enter an interval and define the interval as Days, Months or Years. If you would like to use Grace Month calculations with the event, select the "Grace" checkbox. Events can have different intervals for each group or be non calculating if desired. To make an event non calculating enter 0 for the interval or leave it blank.

Note: It is important to understand how ADCAR treats Day/Month/Year intervals. Day and Year intervals compute to the exact day. Month intervals compute to the last day of the calendar month. Events like pilot medicals and checkrides that are good to the end of the calendar month should use month intervals. Passports and events that are good only to the calendar day should use Day or Year intervals.
