Aircraft Data Window

The Aircraft data window consists of two sections; The upper section which contains specific aircraft information and notes for that aircraft, and the Aircraft Items section which has items common to all aircraft.

The two sections are edited independently by selecting their respective edit tool from the toolbar. Aircraft items are added or deleted from the aircraft items master list and cannot be individually added or deleted for each aircraft. Items can be tagged as N/A if they do not apply to a specific aircraft. Aircraft items can be viewed by category by clicking on the category tabs at the bottom of the window.

Adding an Aircraft Record

To create a new Aircraft record select Aircraft > New from the Aircraft Window command bar.
Enter the Aircraft tail number or other unique identifier in the new aircraft ID field. Click OK. The Aircraft number can be any combination of letters and numbers, upper or lowercase.
Fill in the desired fields for the new record.
To save the new record, click the Post Edit button to save, or click the Cancel Changes button to cancel creating to the record.

Editing Aircraft Record General Information

Click the Edit Record button in the upper tool bar in of the Aircraft window. The editable fields in the record will turn from green to white to indicate that the program is in edit mode.
Edit the desired fields.
Click the Post Edit button to save the changes or click the Cancel Changes button to cancel the changes.

 

Aircraft Items are edited by using the tool bar located below the aircraft information.

Deleting an Aircraft Record

Display the Aircraft record you want to delete.
Select Aircraft > Delete from the Aircraft Window command bar. You will be presented with a warning that you have chosen to delete the selected Aircraft record. If you are sure that you want to delete the record, click "Yes". If you selected "Verify Deletes" in the setup option from the Main Menu command bar, you will be asked to type "Yes" to confirm the deletion. There will be no way to undelete the record if you proceed. If you do not want to delete this record, click "No" or "Cancel".

Archiving an Aircraft Record

Aircraft records can be archived. This saves all data connected with the Aircraft record but does not display the information in any of the windows or reports. Any aircraft items that are modified or deleted are also modified or deleted from the archived records. To archive a Aircraft record:

Select Aircraft > Archive from the Aircraft window command bar. You will get the following window:
 
Click OK. If you selected "Verify Deletes" in the setup option from the Main Menu command bar, you will be asked to type "Yes" to confirm.
 
Confirm by typing "YES" then click "OK"

Restoring an Archived Aircraft Record

To restore an archived Aircraft record:

Select Aircraft > Restore Archived Aircraft from the Aircraft window command bar.
 
Click on the down arrow or start typing to access the drop down box.
Select the record that you want to restore and click "OK"
 
If you want to continue click "YES".
